In this integration we helped a dynamic live streaming platform that connects streamers with a vibrant online community to launch a complex Connect feature. The platform is built to enable streamers with features such as supported HD streaming, live chat, and provides opportunities for viewers to support them through gifts and paid subscriptions.
CHALLENGE
To enable viewers to support their favorite streamers from around the World on a rapidly growing platform by leveraging payment opportunities including single payments (‘gifts’) and recurring payments (‘subs’).
SOLUTION
Turkois worked with the client team in order to create a scalable payment solution built using Stripe Connect and Stripe Payments, allowing streamers to seamlessly create payout accounts and accept both one-off and subscription payments.

The millions of client platform users are now able to support streamers in a seamless transaction - purchasing gifts or subs without leaving the streamer’s channel. In addition, streamers enjoy receiving frictionless payments while doing what they love.
As one of the fastest growing platforms in history, the streaming platform found itself being called out as a Twitch.tv competitor almost overnight. The platform promised favorable terms for streamers / creators, prioritizing the growth of a global streaming community over profit. In order to achieve this however, the client team had to move fast - building an integrated payment system that would allow streamers to accept both one-off and subscription payments from viewers around the globe, all while scaling the core platform for its rapidly growing user base.
